Betty Allen is now Clerk and Vestry member

The vestry of Saint Andrew's-on-the-Mount has appointed Betty Allen as Clerk of the Vestry and our fifth vestry member. When we held our annual election, we had only chosen four members for our five-member vestry.

We welcome Betty to the continuing work and worship of Saint Andrew's-on-the-Mount Episcopal Church.

New Road to the Future

The Rev. Victor F. Lawson, Jr, has resigned as Missioner of the Nelson Regional Ministry and thus as Vicar of Saint Andrew's-on-the-Mount, effective 15 September 2007. He and Ruby have bought a house in Charles Town and are now moving out of the rectory.

We of Saint Andrew's-on-the-Mount are meeting as a vestry and with the Nelson Regional Ministry Council to determine our road to the future. We are open to any and all suggestions on how to structure our mission to Jefferson County, West Virginia, and the wider world.


The Nelson Regional Ministry Council will meet tomorrow, Saturday 25 August 2007 at 10:00 am at Saint John's, Rippon.

The Eastern Deanery Council will meet Sunday, 26 August 2007 at 2:00 pm at Trinity, Martinsburg.
