Gracious God, hear the prayers that we present to you this day...

For our parish community, that we may be a vibrant people of faith, we pray...

For all of our ministries and organizations, that we may find creative ways to announce

the Good News of Jesus to all, we pray...

For the power of the Holy Spirit burning in us, that we may love one another and live as true disciples, we pray...

For our efforts at renewal, that we may have new life and energy as we serve the Lord and each other, we pray...

Loving God, be with us in our conversations and planning, so that we may be creative in helping others come to know you deeply in their hearts and express your compassion in their actions. Amen.

A Prayer for a Parish


O God, our heavenly Father, make the door of our parish church wide enough to receive all who need human love and fellowship and a Father's care; and narrow enough to shut out all envy, pride, and uncharitableness.

May all that we do be to Your honor and glory, the upbuilding of our parish, and the extension of Your Kingdom.

May we continue to be Yours forever and daily increase in your Holy Spirit of love and service to others; through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Amen.

The voice is fading

I may have to leave all this behind. I am burnt out. Time to leave everything to those who have some bigger stake in it than I. I do not have to do what I've been doing. Time to move on.
